GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSOCIATES

 

We expect to have space for 2 graduate researchers in the Fall of 2021. Application review for Fall admission is January 15, 2021. The department often reviews applications through the spring and early summer. Please email Prof. Popp if you are interested in applying after the fall admission date.

 

Doctoral program in Chemistry. The WVU Department of Chemistry is the only PhD granting chemistry department in the State of West Virginia. We have received R1 (highest research) designation from the Carnegie Classification System. We offer graduate students guaranteed competitive stipends ($23,000 for 2021-22 academic year) to support either a teaching assistantship or research assistantship, full University tuition waivers for a student’s time in the PhD program, as well as substantial annual meritorious fellowship support. We will begin reviewing applications for the Fall 2020 term in mid-December and our application deadline is January 15th.
