Program Requirements

The Professional Masters Program in Clinical Psychology involves 2 years of course work and clinical practicum training, in addition to the completion of a 6-month full time internship. Professional Masters students enroll in the same clinical coursework as doctoral students. In contrast to the doctoral training program, no training is provided in conducting empirical research. Reading and applying research findings, however, is a core feature for both students in the doctoral and masters programs. Degree requirements for the Professional Masters Program include:

  • 660: Clinical Practicum (8 hours)
  • 661: Adult Behavior Therapy
  • 671: Child Behavior Therapy
  • 750: Clinical Internship (18 hours)
  • Three elective courses
