2. Private jazz teaching and ensemble coaching

4. Special topics, such as teaching specific styles, the art of practicing, learning theories, etc.
5. Studio management and the business aspects of teaching

B. Observation and student teaching of children, college students, and adults at beginning through advanced levels of instruction.

C. Survey of Jazz Literature

1. Jazz theory and history texts
2. Repertoire
3. Ensemble literature

D. Special Topics

1. Independent study
2. Individual projects in areas such as curriculum development, specialized instructional analysis, etc.
