I propose a participatory-critical pedagogy that includes critical thinking, collaborative learning, and service learning projects. These elements will allow students to better understand beliefs, practice tolerance and reflection, incorporate critical thinking into their actions, and participate in deliberative discourse. Over time, a participatory-critical pedagogy can ultimately encourage ethical behavior in society.
