Sample Laboratory Notebook - Synthesis Experiment


All laboratory experiments, handouts, and materials are available through Sapling Learning.

To enroll in the Sapling course and access lab materials, complete the following:

  1. Get Required materials
    • Purchase the lab notebook + Sapling bundle from the WVU Bookstore. Use the following link to create a Sapling account and to enroll in the course. When prompted, enter the access code that was bundled with your notebook.

    or

    • Use the following link to create an account and enroll in the Sapling course. You will need to use a credit card to pay for acess during the registration process. You will aslo need to purchase a laboratory notebook.
  2. Go to https://ecampus.wvu.edu
    • Enter the Chem 236-101 eCampus Page
    • Find your lab room number by clicking the "My Grades" link on the leftmost toolbar. You sill need this lab room number when enrolling in Sapling as your room number serves as your Sapling Key Code.
  3. Once you are in Sapling, follow the registration instructions. If necessary, you can sign up for the 14-day free trial and pay for full access later.
