Announcements:

  - The final exam will be given on Monday, December 12 from 1:00 to 2:50 in the normal lecture room.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator, and you will be given a list of trig identities.  To help you study for the exam, you may find it useful to review this list of practice problems, and this list of exam material.



Homework Assignments
All homework is to be completed online at MyOpenMath.com.  You can find all weekly assignments and due dates there.

Old Announcements:
- As discussed in class, there will be a quiz on Friday, September 2, on the values of sin, cos, and tan of the angles π/6, π/4, and π/3.  You must know these 9 ratios without a calculator.
- Exam 1 will be given in class on Wednesday, September 21.  It will cover the material from Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator, but no graphing calculators will be allowed.  Also, if you have not yet passed the quiz on values of trig functions at special angles by the time the exam starts, you will be assessed a one letter grade penalty (a 10% penalty) on the exam.
  - Exam 2 will be given in class on Friday, October 21.  It will cover the material from Sections 10.1, 10.2, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, and 9.5.  You will be given the list of trig identities that I handed out in class.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator, but no graphing calculators will be allowed.
  - Exam 3 will be given in class on Wednesday, November 16.  It will cover the material from Sections 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, and 10.8.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator, but no graphing calculators will be allowed.
