Announcements:

 - The cumulative trigonometry exam will be given on Wednesday, December 15 from 10:00 am to 11:50 am in the usual lecture room.  As usual, no graphing or programmable calculators will be permitted, but you may use a scientific calculator.  To review, you may wish to look over this list of exam material and this list of practice problems.




Homework Assignments
As a reminder, all homework is to be completed online at MyOpenMath.com.  You can find all due dates there.

Old Announcements:
  - As a reminder, Quiz 1 will be given in class on Friday, August 27.  This will be a short quiz given at the beginning of class and will consist of a problem from the homework sets due on that day.
 - As a reminder, Exam 1 will be given in class on Friday, September 17, and will cover the material in Sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 11.1, 11.2, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, and the material on polynomial and rational inequalities.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator on the exam.  No graphing or programmable calculators will be permitted.
 - The cumulative algebra exam will be given in class on Thursday, October 21, and Friday, October 22.  Thursday's portion will be multiple choice, and you will not be permitted to use any calculator.  For Friday's portion, you will be permitted to bring and use a scientific calculator, but no graphing or programmable calculators will be allowed.  The exam will cover everything from the course so far.  To help you study, you may wish to review this list of exam material and this list of practice problems.
 - As discussed in class, Friday's quiz is on the values of sin, cos, and tan of the angles π/6, π/4, and π/3.  You must know these 9 ratios without a calculator.
 - As discussed in class, Exam 3 will be given in class on Friday, November 12.  It will cover the material from Chapter 7, Chapter 8, and Sections 10.1 and 10.2.  You may bring and use a scientific calculator on the exam.  No graphing or programmable calculators will be permitted.
