Sarika
Khushalani Solanki received her Ph.D. degree from
Mississippi State University, Mississippi State and B.E. and M.E.
degrees from India. She worked at Open Systems
International Inc. as a Senior Engineer. She is currently an Associate
Professor at the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical
Engineering, West Virginia University. Her research is in
smart grids, microgrids,
transmission and distribution systems steady state and dynamic
analysis. Her teaching interests include power systems, distribution
systems, power market,
fundamentals of electrical circuits, smart grid topics in
existing courses. She is receipient of prestigious NSF Career award.
She has published
several conference and journal papers. She has been a judge of several
contests,
panelist at NSF and DOE, has chaired several sessions at conferences
and organized panel sessions. She is past chair of IEEE PES
Career Promotion and Workforce Development Subcommittee and chair of
Distribution Systems Analysis Subommittee of
IEEE. She is a senior member of Institute
for
Electrical and Electronics Engineers and member of Society of Women
Engineers.
