About me
I joined
West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2011 and am a professor in the department of mathematics. I was named the 2016-2017 WVU Tech Golden Bear Scholar and served two terms (2018-2024) as department chair. I graduated from
Harvey Mudd College in 2002 with bachelor degrees in Engineering and Mathematics. I completed a Masters in Applied and Computational Mathematics at
Johns Hopkins University in 2005 and a Masters in
Mathematics at
Louisiana State University in 2010. I finished my doctoral degree in mathematics at Louisiana State University in 2011. My PhD advisor,
James Oxley, taught me everything I know about structural matroid theory, the topic of my
dissertation. I worked in several collaborations, see my CV for a full list.
