Welcome to the Shook Lab.

A central theme to the research conducted in our lab is attitudes, i.e., the positive or negative evaluations of people, objects, places, or ideas.  We ask questions like how do attitudes develop, what factors can change attitudes, and how do attitudes affect behavior. To answer these questions, we study a variety of topics such as racial prejudice, political opinions, homophobia, consumer choices, and emotional disorders.  To find out more about us, please explore the rest of our website.

Getting involved.

If you are an undergraduate student who is motivated and interested in getting involved in research in the Shook lab, please contact Dr. Shook to set up an interview.
