My primary research interests focus on how adolescents learn to become engaged citizens. Specifically, my research examines how adolescent contexts influence developing civic and political beliefs. My current work on adolescent civic development examines the parental influences on adolescents’ civic understanding. I am also interested examining the intersection between adolescent organized activity involvement and sociopolitical beliefs.
